Well...hello there!

I'm Tracy and I'm so excited that you are here! Let me tell you a little more about me...I'll try to make myself sound more exciting than I actually am! I am a California girl, born and bred, but I think I'm actually a southern belle at heart! My parents were surfer flower children, and I spent the first few years of my life going to the beach with them in the coolest Volkswagen bus, complete with floral curtains and a happy face sticker. That was my first introduction to all things vintage and retro. The love affair was official!

My mom was a stay at home mom and created the coziest home for our family. Mom could work magic with a sewing machine and made us the most beautiful clothes. She and my aunt would load all of us kids in a van and take us from thrift store to thrift store, looking for all things cozy. I was a thrift store aficionado from the early age of 4!

I met my husband in college and from day one we knew we were going to get married. 29 years later and he's still the love of my life! He went into law enforcement and I became a forensic interviewer. We have two amazing adult children who both stayed in Texas after college. We are a diehard baseball family, in fact our son played college ball! We both share a love of antiques and flea markets, and he supports my love of thrifted treasures and good roadside finds!

I['m a learn as you go kind of girl, and a messy DIYer! If you are looking for perfection or professional you have come to the wrong place! But I do love to share what I've learned through trial and error, and love to encourage thinking outside of the box! I also love to encourage reusing, recycling and redeeming discarded pieces!
